Let's kick some HYDRA ass!

I just watched the 1998 Nick Fury TV movie with David Hasselhoff, and contrary to all my expectations I LOVED it. It was great fun to watch, had everything a film about S.H.I.E.L.D. needs: the helicarrier, LMDs, HYDRA and little espionage movie gimmicks. Val (whom I don't really know much about yet but will soon). And David Hasselhoff can actually act - he did a great job with his role as Nick Fury, down to the details. Of course the film was a bit trashy; the German villains were hilarious (in a good way!) But I never would have thought that I could believe Hasselhoff when he'd try to pretend to be Colonel Fury, and I did. I forgot about that wrecked actor who is mostly looked down upon and regarded as a joke and I saw Nick. (It scared me a bit, really.) The other characters were also quite believable.

Plus: FUN!!! :)

Before we watched the movie we walked to the Dönerladen (what's it called?), so I had lots of time to think about nutty crossovers. My favourites are:

1. UNIT vs. S.H.I.E.L.D. (UNIT loses to SHIELD in a second, only to discover that all SHIELD members have been replaced by Live Model Decoys which the Doctor can switch off.)

2. The Tsubasa and xxxHolic characters travel to Marvel-universe. I didn't explore this one further, or maybe I did, but I forgot about it. Yuuko should meet Doctor Strange, of course, to see who's the Sorcerer Supreme, and to talk about not being able to intervene. Oh, and I think there was something in my head about the Doctor coming to the Marvelverse - ah, yes! I remember --

3. Daleks vs. Doombots. Still taking bets. What do you say, who will win?

Geschriebene Sachen

Unordnung
Doctor Who | PG |Tegan, Turlough | 941 Wörter

Doctor Who/Torchwood | R | Martha/Tosh | Sex, angst, fluff | 840 Wörter

Automatischer Modus
The Sarah Connor Chronicles | PG-13 | Sarah, John, Cameron | Tempo, angst | 569 Wörter

HP-Drabble
Harry Potter | R | Harry/Draco (!) | Sex | 100 Wörter

Challenge: #2 Fesseln?

PotC-Drabble-Dings
Pirates of the Caribbean | R | Anamaria/Calypso | Sex, Tod, bunte Sprachbilder | 123 Wörter

Challenge: #2 Fesseln + eine Sterbeszene

----------

Remember the porn!

Remember I told you about [info]joanne_c's Doctor Who pornbattle on LJ?
Well, it's here, and it's started.
But almost everyone writes Jack/Ianto, and there are altogether only a few entries so far.

I know there are a couple of great writers on my friendslist, also a lot of Doctor Who and Torchwood fans. I beg you: Go and write porn! Answer my all the beautiful prompts!

--------------

[Fic] Antwort aufs Crossover-Meme, 3: 1974

Dritte Antwort aufs Crossover-Meme.

Fandoms: Doctor Who/ Life on Mars

[Fic] Antwort aufs Crossover-Meme, 2: Tapferkeit, Freunde und Roboter

Zweite Antwort aufs Crossover-Meme.

Fandoms: The Sarah Jane Adventures/ Doctor Who
Für: [info]khana
Charaktere: Maria Jackson & der zehnte Doctor
Anm.: SPOILER für DW 3x13 Last of the Timelords, und ein kleinwinziger Spoiler für Voyage of the Damned.

So here's the first or second part of the puzzle. Thanks to lunafenice for lots of ideas I use here.
If you find any language mistakes, please point them out to me so I can improve my English skill (and thus write more meta babbling).

About Doctor Who Season 1 Finale & The Christmas Invasion, containing only very minor spoilers. )

Sep. 25th, 2007

about books, geekiness and the Doctor.

So today I got to know the famous Captain Jack Harkness everyone is talking about(why are Jacks always Captains?)and learned that he has a pretty military jacket.

There is only one episode of Season 1 left that I haven't seen and I'm scared of watching it. Because I love Christopher Eccleston and after that episode I won't be able to see his mad Doctor grin anymore. Woe is me.

In other news, I spent 3 or 4 hours on Saturday afternoon in the bookstore reading a 200-page book for teenagers which I really liked but lacked the money to buy. It's been some time since I last consumed a book like this, pausing only to go to the toilet and get something to eat so I wouldn't collapse on the bookstore floor. Having finished the book I left the shop and I felt the sun was not only shining outside but also from inside my head, and I danced (kind of) all the way home, singing Omnia's Alive (which you can download legally and for free at their homepage!!) ;-)
In short: I remembered the reason I loved reading novels so much before I somehow unintentionally gave it up in favor of fanfics on the internet and stuff I had to read for university.
So. I bought two more novels and read 300 pages of the first one on Sunday (that's much for me as I'm a slow reader.) I had a wonderful weekend.

Today I went outside again to meet people apart from those talking in my head and I realised that non-geeky people confuse me. Don't they have a hobby? What excites them? What do they talk about? All my good friends have a geeky side, meaning they often get enthusiastic about certain things. I miss this trait in so-called normal people.

-------
Tokoro de (what would I do without that phrase?)
two people on my friendslist recently started talking about Yuletide again, so again I went to the Yuletide page and browsed through the unfilled requests from 2006. So many good ideas, so many stories I, too, would love to read! But naturally I can't participate because as you can see above my English still sucks way too much for me to be capable of writing a fiction in it.

So many things to whine about and still I feel great. :D

PS: I have fallen in love with the TARDIS. Give me 1000 icons with that ship on them, please.
